There is little doubt that the Governments announcement of the new Living Wage a few months back is great news for those working for or in the region of the current minimum wage.
We’re always looking for the very best people we can find and have for a couple of years used our ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme to attract and keep great staff. A couple of staff recently introduced members of their family / friends and were surprised when we explained that they would get paid for it! So this is how it works,
If you introduce a friend or family member and they stay with us for four consecutive months in the job allocated, we’ll pay £40 in your following month’s pay. It really is that simply, no catches, we just want brilliant people to join us.
So, if you know of anyone wanting work and you already work with us, please point them in the direction of the office (0191 2720825) or any of the Operations team and we’ll ensure you’ll get paid on the fifth month after they start work.

It’s always lovely when our customers tell us what they think of our service. We’re so lucky to have such wonderful staff who care about their work and always look to exceed the expectations of the clients. Well done to the cleaning and operations team, you deserve the credit.
Our Yorkshire Business Consultant, Jodi got married on the 26th May in Las Vegas to Mark. Their families were there and their lovely children Sky and Hunter played their part too. We’d all like to wish the new Mrs Davidson every happiness.
At our May operations meeting the team decided on two wonderful members of our cleaning team for the “Edwards Above and Beyond Awards”.
First is Paula Green (pictured above) who cleans a doctors surgery in Newcastle. The surgery recently had a CQC Audit and came in the top 4% in the UK for cleanliness. This is a fantastic achievement and we’re so proud of Paula. Paula has been with us since March 2010 and also does another job for us at a solicitors in Newcastle. Well done Paula.
Our second winner has also been with us for quite a while. Margaret Naunton joined us in June 2007 and has always helped us in covering work and when Margaret’s own jobs have been audited by our operations team they always comment that there was ‘Nothing at all to find’. Margaret is highly thought of by our staff and the clients she cleans. Thank you Margaret, you’re a star.

When it comes to politics I tend to glaze over. I can’t get enthused about what they stand for, what plans they have or what they say they’re going to do for my region, my friends, my family, my business or simply, just me!
Every other month our Management Team will choose two members of staff who have gone “Above and Beyond” to provide service excellence to our customers. The winners will receive a gift voucher as a small ‘thank you’ and we’ll sing their praises on our website and on our Face Book page.
The first of our two winners is Carole Georgeson (pictured) who has been a great help to our Operations Team by helping with one off cleans, weekend work and deep cleans in new start up accounts. Barbara Brown, Senior Operations Manager said “Carole has been an absolute God-send over the past few months”. Thank you Carole, your gift voucher will be posted over the next couple of days.
Amanda Storey is our second winner as chosen by Craig Fraser, Operations Manager who said “Amanda’s work is just brilliant, I try and find something to mention in our audits but there’s nothing to find!” The clients love Amanda and is a worthy winner of our Above and Beyond Award. Well done and thank you Amanda.
With continued expansion comes the requirement for more space for people, stock, paperwork and area’s for meetings etc.
