I may be rather biased but tonight’s news of a massive investment in both Newcastle United and the region as a whole is just fantastic news and something that’s been needed for years.
Newcastle and the area hasn’t done great over the years attracting investment which leads to jobs, security and improved conditions but today’s news will bring huge amounts of money in to the North East. Of course being a Newcastle United fan (my first season ticket was in 1975) I’m delighted that my team now has ambition and hope and the feel good today has been amazing to see. The journey to work tomorrow will be a lot happier because of today’s news.

The last few years hasn’t been much fun with the pandemic causing so much hurt and suffering for many so it was great to see so many smiling faces. The North East is on the up.
