We’re delighted to have been named the Environment Award (Large Business) winner at the West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce’s Raising The Bar Awards 2026.
The awards celebrate businesses across the region that are making a positive impact in their communities, so it means a great deal to see the work taking place across Edwards Commercial Cleaning recognised.
Growing Responsibly
Sustainability has become an important part of how we operate and how we plan for the future.
Over recent years, we’ve been working to better understand our environmental impact, measure our progress and identify where we can make meaningful improvements.
That has led to practical changes across the business. We’ve reduced our reliance on single-use plastics, introduced more concentrated and refillable cleaning solutions, improved the efficiency of our fleet and continued to look closely at how we use resources and manage waste.
Most importantly, we’re measuring the impact those changes are having.
Our latest Carbon Report recorded a 15.2% year-on-year reduction in gross carbon emissions!
A Team Effort
Progress like this doesn't happen because of one initiative or one person.
It comes from decisions made across the business, from the products we purchase and the journeys we make to the way our teams work on client sites every day.
That’s why receiving the Environment Award means so much to us. It recognises a collective effort from people right across the team.
There is always more we can do, and our approach to sustainability will continue to evolve as our business grows.
For now, though, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate this one.
