Hazel and Paul Edwards attended The Percy Hedley Annual Ball on Saturday to help this absolutely fantastic charity that really helps those who need it the most in our society. We hope they made a small fortune as the 1920’s themed evening was attended by 300 guests who all seemed to have an amazing time. We were Associate Sponsors of the event for the third annual ball and have already committed to doing it again in 2022.
We’ve experienced huge growth over the past couple of months and, as a result, needed more operations support to assist with recruitment, auditing and helping out across the business where required. We are delighted to welcome Donna Wilkinson on board as she comes with lots of cleaning, housekeeping and even call centre management experience. Donna stood out because of her bubbly personality, knowledge of people management and because she is obviously a good fit with our culture and family values. Recently engaged to her partner, Sam, Donna also has two teenage kids and therefore comes to work for a rest! Welcome to the company Donna.
Today is #thankyourcleanerday and we’d like to say a huge “Thank you” to our teams across the North East and Yorkshire for the amazing work they carry out.
We’re delighted that our supervisor, Joanne Wilson accepted an ‘Above and Beyond Award’ for her leadership, care, professionalism and customer service in such difficult times. Jo leads a team of 20 cleaning operatives at one of our school contracts. Well done Jo, we’re so proud of you and the team.
I may be rather biased but tonight’s news of a massive investment in both Newcastle United and the region as a whole is just fantastic news and something that’s been needed for years.
I think, like most businesses, since March 2020 when the pandemic caught up with us here in the UK it’s been a difficult time for everyone. At that time, in the space of a month, we lost 60% of our business as offices, schools and some factories literally closed their doors.
Over the past couple of days we’ve been assessed by the British Assessment Bureau to retain out ISO9001 quality and ISO14001 environmental standards.
We were delighted to surprise Helen Peat in the office today by presenting her with the very first, ‘Local Hero’ Award.
As you’ll have seen on our social media, we’ve been shouting about our brand new Your CleanHub portal.
