Yes. The on-site supervisor was going above and beyond under the previous provider without enough support. Edwards addressed this by improving her pay, hours, and training which helped her feel more supported and empowered in her role.
How was the staff transition from the previous provider?
Very smooth. The cleaners were familiar with TUPE processes and were pleased to transfer, especially as they did not have a positive relationship with the previous contractor.
What has improved under Edwards' management?
Since Edwards took over, things have really improved. The management team is a lot more responsive and supportive, and the regular check-ins mean there's always a good line of communication. The staff seem a lot happier and better supported, which makes a real difference day to day. And I’ve got to say, Paula has been fantastic - she just gets things done. You ask her for something and before you’ve even finished the sentence, it’s sorted. She really knows her stuff and makes my job so much easier.
Has Edwards introduced any new tools or processes?
Yes, Edwards has introduced several new tools and processes that have made a real difference. They’ve brought in eco-friendly cleaning products that can be diluted on-site, which has helped significantly reduce plastic waste. On top of that, they introduced new equipment like i-mops during a recent floor refurbishment project. The entire process was handled seamlessly by the team, with minimal disruption and maximum impact.
How would you describe the operational relationship?
Extremely positive. Regular monthly meetings occur, though we rarely have anything to raise because issues are resolved so quickly. Communication is fast and reliable, with responses typically within the same or next day.
How effective is the site supervision?
Outstanding. The cleaning supervisor, Gemma, is trusted completely. She handles audits, communicates transparently, and always gets the job done. Honestly, she’s a star!
