Why did you choose to work with Edwards?
Before Edwards took over, we weren’t happy with the quality of the cleaning or the reliability. There’s nothing worse than cleaners not showing up. It sets the standard for everything else in the business. We have high-profile visitors. You need a clean toilet!
How has Edwards performed since taking over?
Overall, they’ve been really good! There’s been the odd issue from time to time, but it’s always been resolved quickly. I’ve been here 51 years, so I’ve seen a lot of changes. The difference now is how quickly things get sorted.
How was the transition from your previous provider?
We TUPE’d one person over and Edwards handled everything. All the paperwork was done, so it was something I didn’t have to worry about. We worked together on the schedule and then just got going.
How would you describe the working relationship?
It’s important to me to have a good relationship and I have that with Edwards. They respond quickly and they care - that really comes across. The people I deal with, Tracy and Paula, just sort it. We don’t have to badger people to get things done. They speak to people, they walk around the office and if something isn’t right, they sort it.
How has communication been with the team?
It’s great - I’m not dealing with a contact centre. I’m dealing with an individual. I get to speak to someone who knows the business. They come in around 5.30am and get everything done with no disruption to the office team. They just let themselves in and get on with it.
