We've got some fantastic news to share.
Over the past year, Edwards Commercial Cleaning has achieved a 15.2% reduction in gross carbon emissions compared to the previous reporting period.
It's a milestone we're incredibly proud of and another important step on our journey towards Net Zero by 2030.
A Team Achievement
Achievements like this don't happen overnight.
They happen because people across the business make good decisions every single day.
From improving route efficiency and investing in our fleet to reducing waste and continually reviewing the way we work, sustainability has become part of our day-to-day thinking. It's not something we do because we have to. It's simply part of how we do business.
Every member of the team has played a part in this achievement while continuing to deliver the high-quality commercial cleaning services our clients rely on every day.
A huge thank you must also go to Tamma Carel and the team at Imvelo for their continued guidance and support. They've challenged us, supported us and helped us better understand our environmental impact year after year. We couldn't have achieved these results without them.
Following our recent NEAA Sustainability Award (SME) win, this latest Carbon Report is another reminder that we're continuing to make real progress.
Perhaps what makes us most proud is that we've achieved this while continuing to grow as a business. It shows that sustainability and commercial success really can go hand in hand.
And that's exactly how it should be.
Looking Ahead
Our ambition remains clear.
We'll continue investing in our people, reviewing the way we work and looking for new opportunities to reduce our environmental impact. In fact, this month we're launching a new uniform recycling initiative to ensure worn and damaged uniforms are recycled rather than sent to landfill. It's another small step but one that reflects our commitment to continually improving.
We're incredibly proud of how far we've come.
But we're only just getting started.
